  • ※ 이 접수 페이지는 고려대학교 국제대학원 입학시험에 지원하는 ‘외국인’을 위한 페이지이므로, 국제대학원 내국인 전형, 혹은 다른 일반/특수/전문대학원에 지원하시는 분은 해당 대학원의 원서접수 페이지에서 접수 하시기 바랍니다.
  • ※ This application page is only for ‘International Students’ admission of Graduate School of International Studies(GSIS) of Korea University.
    If an applicant would like to apply Graduate School of International Studies(GSIS) of Korea University through Korean admission or for the General Graduate School or another professional/special graduate school at KU, please apply at the corresponding application page, or contact the relevant department office.

Online Application Submission

Oct. 6 (Tue.) 10:00 ~ Oct. 22 (Thu.) by 17:00, 2026 (KST)

  • Website of Graduate School of International Studies  Website
  • Online application is completed only when the application fee payment is successfully completed by the deadline.
  • No further change can be made to your personal information after the online application has been submitted.
  • Nominees for the Dual Degree Program should complete the online application, and this is NOT for the exchange program students.
Application Documents Submission

Oct. 6 (Tue.) 10:00 ~ Oct. 23 (Fri.) by 17:00, 2026 (KST)

  • All the required documents must be uploaded on this website, and file edits and re-uploads are available by the deadline of documents submission (Korea Standard Time).
  • Please write your application number and name at the top-right of each document and upload each of them.
  • If all the required PDF scanned documents are NOT uploaded within the deadline, the applicant will be excluded from the screening and will be considered to have given up on application for admission.
  • E-mail submission is not acceptable (A recommendation letter only can be submitted to gsisadmin@korea.ac.kr)
  • Additional document submission via post may be requested if needed.
  • Please refer to ‘Admission Guideline for International Applicants’ for a detailed explanation.
Interview
Nov. 21 (Sat.) 10:00 ~ 17:00, 2026 (KST) (Tentative)
  • 1. Master’s Degree Program
  • KU GSIS basically has no interview procedures for international applicants of Master’s Degree program.
  • International applicants may be asked to undertake interview(s) when KU GSIS Admission Committee members determine that the applicant(s) need to have the interviews in English if there is a certain justifiable reason.
  • In case the interview is needed, KU GSIS will contact the interviewee(s) only and notify the telephone or video interview schedule.
  • 2. Doctoral Degree Program
  • KU GSIS conducts interviews only for the applicants who pass the document screening, and they will receive a notification prior to the interview date.
  • If an applicant stays abroad, KU GSIS will conduct telephone or video interview.
Admission Result

Dec. 15 (Tue.), 2026 (Expected)

  • Admission Result will be available on KU GSIS website, and further information will be announced through email you submitted for online application.
  • KU GSIS Administration Team does NOT disclose information related to admission decisions such as the criteria of evaluation, and the reason for rejection or disqualification.
Registration for Accepted Students
January, 2027(TBA)
  • Tuition fees must be paid in full at once via bank transfer, ATM, Korean internet banking, phone banking, Alipay, International remittance, international wire transfer etc to the virtual account provided to each applicant by Korea University.
  • Issuance of Certificate of Admission (COA) will be available from the late July after tuition payment and original documents submission.

  • ※ The application fee (including the commission fee) must be paid in full at the time of the online application within the deadline of the application period and will be utilized for processing the applications.
  • ※ Please inspect the information on the application carefully before the application fee payment as the information cannot be edited, revoked nor can the application fee be refunded after the payment is completed, according to Korean Higher Education Act enforcement ordinance article 42 clause 3(application fee).
  • ※ However, in the special cases elaborated in the article 42 clause 3, the application fee can be duly refunded. For example, in the event that an applicant cannot complete the admission process due to a natural disaster, severe sickness, accident, etc., that is not attributed to the applicant, the applicant can submit an application fee refund application with the evidential documents. The documents submitted for refund will be evaluated and a full or partial refund (after the transaction cost is deducted) may be possible.

1The online application process will be completed when you confirm your applicant ID number after paying the application fee.

2Once the application is submitted, applicants are solely responsible for any errors and omissions they may have made on the application forms. The admissions office is not responsible or liable for any such errors or omissions.

3Once the application fee is paid, cancellation or refund will not be allowed under any circumstance.
